Description

Private Photography Lessons are customized based on your skill level and individual learning pace – from complete beginners looking to better understand how to take great looking photographs, to intermediate shooters looking to hone more specific photography techniques.

Syllabus topics can include the basics, from i) manual settings for the most creative effects (sharp subjects with blurry backgrounds or long exposures for motion blur), to more advanced concepts including ii) composition and storytelling, iii) understanding “good lighting” and iv) post-processing and editing. By regularly meeting you will continue to build on your progress and avoid the “plateau” that happens when you aren’t able to consistently pick up the camera.

Acceptable cameras for the lessons include any digital camera with manual exposure controls, including any DSLR or any interchangeable lens or mirrorless system camera. If you are unsure about your camera email us or you can reserve our loaner DSLR camera to use during the lesson before buying your own.

Each session is taught in English for 1 or 2-hours. Most are done in our studio in Central, but can also be done via Skype or in your home for an additional fee. More than one person (eg. a spouse or friend) can attend a session with you for an additional fee.

Feel free to email info@hkphotoworkshop.com with any other questions!
